Forgive my absence and Friday Facts:)

So, I am not a stuck up blog snob! I have been reading but my computer crashed AGAIN on Tuesday and I've been stuck on my phone-so very limited commenting as I can't even see what I type! My husband is gone for 2 weeks. So far, the dishwasher quit which is fine because I have a 13 and 10 year old who are more than capable. Then, my oven started on FIRE, like BIG FIRE. I dropped my iron on the tile and it doesn't work, so I'm wearing wrinkly scrubs to work. The headgasket went out in my car. The computer just won't turn on and then the garden tiller tried to chop off my legs..... So in essence, I can't grow my own food, I can't cook my own food, I can't drive to the store to buy my own food, I can't order my own food on the internet and therefore I am just surviving on the Easter candy stash from on top of the fridge! My phone DOES however work so I can adequately bitch about all of this to my husband:)

Since, I have very little time, I'm sticking with the Five Friday Facts theme one more week!!

1.) My hair is very curly. Classic "want what you don't have syndrome" since I almost always straighten it!!! It is also almost entirely gray if I don't color it. I touch it up about every 5 days!

2.) My husband is 4 years older than me. He will be 40 this year and I'm trying to plan a big party. He threw me a monster bash for my 30th and I didn't have a clue. I'm usually very perceptive and have no idea how he pulled this off. Anyway, I have until October but I'm already getting things in the works...

3.) I am more excited about the post race beer than the half marathon I'm running tomorrow! Heavy winds and torrential rain-fun times!! Actually, I'm pumped about being there. No plan yet but considering I struggled to pull out 8:20 pace on these very tired legs on my 8 mile this morning, I'm not anticipating much! Still unsure if I'm running solo or with a group of friends or family. Either way, I'm determined to have a blast and VERY anxious for some rest next week so I can really tackle a 10K!!

4.) I have MASSIVE tan lines right now. I'm wearing a giant white bracelet on my left wrist and naked, I honestly look like I'm wearing a white wrestling singlet. I tan very easily and I really need to cake the sunscreen on more than just my face I guess.

5.) I cannot think another single fact about me to complete this list of 5, so since 4 also starts with the letter F and still sounds all catchy, we will only have 4 facts today.....

There you have it! Hoping to be able to comment a bit in some down time on the hotel computer! Good luck to all those racing this weekend!

LOL! I bet your husband is super glad your phone is still working through all this too;) :D
I have curly-ish hair too! it is SO annoying and I have to straighten or curl it....I always wanted wash and go hair....which I guess I DO have if it's a wavy 70's afro i'm going for;).

OK. I know you have no real ambition for this half marathon, but still hope you have a FUN race and surprise yourself with a few more race miles....added on to your 80,000 for the week! Go get em!

Why don't you just jumped on the mower/tractor and go get yourself a big juicy burger? :)
And put those scrubs back in the dryer for a whirl...if it still works!? :) Instant de-wrinkling.

I have the same hair problem, but the underneath is like an afro and the top could be stick straight with hardly any effort.

Does your weather go from arctic to hot overnight? We still can't put in our garden yet...soon though!

My husband leaves tomorrow for about a week. I hope that week is less eventful than your time has been! Seriously, I hope everything gets fixed and you can focus on enjoying that half!

I'm stuck at the stash of Easter candy....wow! really impressive. There's absolutely NO WAY, there would be an ounce left in this house. No way! Again - Superwoman!

I would have eaten the whole bag the minute my hubby left me with all the kiddos. I'm a stress eater, among other reasons - LOL :(

I think it is funny that you have a tan and you live in MN and I'm walking around like an albino. Not fair! It seems like it was still winter there just yesterday. Well, we don't see sun very often so I guess albino is going to have to stay.

I didn't know you had curly hair. Interesting to know. :) Since I don't take much time to get ready every day, if I had curly hair everyone one know because I wouldn't bother straightening it. Well, maybe. I guess I do take the time to hot curl my straight hair when it gets longer so that it will have a bit more body.

Have fun this weekend. And yes, the after race beer is HEAVENLY! I always have a cold beer in the hot shower after my ice bath and long runs. ONe of my favorite things about life!

Crazy that all this stuff broke on you! :( At least your legs work. xo

Why is it that things seem to break while the hubs is away? Every time mine goes somewhere something always happens like that. You ARE SuperMom to fit all the stuff in that your kids do with him gone! Hang in there!

Thank God you have a phone and can order PIZZA! See if they'll pick up some Ben and Jerry's along the way for you and then you're all set!!!

You have GOT to be kidding me, your hair is curly!?!? I'd never have guessed, every pic it's really straight. I'd kill for an ounce of curl!!

Forget about the damn race, enjoy the beer!!!!! :)

This is all a hoot! Wow your week sounds like it has been a fun one, when it rains it pours I suppose. I think that the post race beer sounds like amazing motivation for tomorrow. I am praying for no rain or wind for you, as I learned last week this can be not as fun as one would think. Also sending your legs some love and hoping that you wake up tomorrow and feel like a Kenyan!

GOOD luck this weekend Jenn--even on tired legs you would blow by me! You have a busy life--I too feel guilty if I can't comment enough!

ENJOY that post race beer!!

Oh, I used your comment in my post today--hope that was okay!

OH and good luck with whatever you decided to do this weekend Miss Thang. I think you should post that picture from the library...you know the sign from the computer lab nazi from last time you had to use the computers at the library.

I just listen these days when the rant starts....after 20+ years with the "BOSS" my hearing has become quite exquisite.

I used to travel all the time too and $hit always happens when you leave ...usually within the 1st hour.

Hang tough, enjoy your run tomorrow...especially enjoy the post race bubblies...my favorite thing in the whole world is a frosty

ps...have curly hair too...as for the grey, I cut it short, hides it for about a week or so...blog snob hahahahha

Hi Jenn,
Hey girl, my hair is curly too. I just don't have time to make mine perfect like yours. Funny about touching up every 5 days...I probably could do that too. Good luck planning the party for the hubs. You just have to be super sneaky:) I have faith in you! Hope you have a fantastic weekend!

Would you believe we don't even use a tiller? Ryan is convinced it hurts too many earth worms. :)

Have a GREAT race! Enjoy that beer!

PS. How did you get tan lines when you just got rid of snow lucky!! :)

OH my word, what a week!!! Hope your race was a blast today. Winds and rain is not my idea of fun but if you throw in some friends and post race beer...it might be worth it!! :) Can't wait to hear how it went.
