Stuff

So-is "The Bachelor" officially the stupidest show on TV or what! Anyway, I didn't miss a second of it doing my run on the treadmill tonight!! Didn't pass the time quite as well as the Olympics!

Max had his final night of official hockey tonight. We had a big pizza party at the rink for the kids. Joe coaches these kids so I was pretty much in charge of the food. I had no idea how much to order. Max is 6 and I guarantee you he eats twice as much as I do. UNBELIEVABLE! Anyway, apparently I ordered a bit much as I now have 6 whole pizzas in my fridge! Not sure what I'm going to do with these....

Max and his buddies! I sure hope he gets a little taller soon!

Friday after 23 when I wanted to be curled up on the couch!

I am currently hawking up enough crap to fill an ice cream bucket-nasty I know! It hurts to even take a deep breath but I just started antibiotics and hopefully I will kick this. Ryan is going on 2 weeks. I generally sleep about 6 hours a night. The last two nights I've been asleep by 9:30. Definitely tired! Fortunately enough, it hasn't been affecting my running too much.....YET.

This past week I ran 5 of 7 days and finished with 64 miles. I think this might be my highest mileage for only 5 days running. (Actually, I lied. I ran 1 mile on Thursday and then decided to make it my off day)

Breakdown:

Monday- 7 m @ 7:41 on the treadmill. Lots of incline

Tuesday- 10 m w/ 4 mile repeats at 6:35-6:40

Wednesday 12 m @ 8:10

Thursday- 1-Ha!!

Friday 23 m @ 8:06

Saturday-off

Sunday- 11.17 m @ 7:53

Started the new week off tonight with 8 miles avg. pace 7:25. This was a completely unorganized run but the last 5 were at a pretty good pace.

Joe, Ryan, and Max are headed to Ryan's regional tournament Thursday night. Winner goes to state. Her team is the #1 seed. I would love to go for the whole thing but Reese has her district tournament at home. My super awesome friend Tonia is going to take Reese Saturday afternoon and overnight and Becca and I are going to drive 6 hours to watch one stinkin' hockey game! They better win!!! Winning=a trip to the state tournament in the cities which means Trader Joe's and SHOPPING!! Oh yeah-I have 3 kids in hockey-I can no longer afford to go shopping..lol!! Honestly though, it would make for such great memories for Ryan and I could also get a couple of good runs in with actual running paths and scenery!!

Just starting to catch up on the happenings of the weekend in the blogging world! Hope everyone had a great one!

Great job on the runs last week! Awesome paces!! You are so speedy!!

And I hate the bachelor. So dumb. After he turned the first girl down last night i couldn't even watch the rest. Why would you choose a girl because you have a stronger "physical" attraction!! he was not thinking with his head or his heart but with another portion of himself!!!! ok sorry rant over but i was pretty annoyed at that last night!

Max will grow soon...I hope. 6 extra pizzas? Wow, that is a lot. It does sound like Max is a lot like Bugs; Bugs is 6 and eats more than my hubby. I can only imagine what they'll be able to eat when they are growing teenagers.

I hope you are feeling better soon!

Great job with the 23 miles! CRAZY! And, I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE your hair! So Cute!
It sounds like so much fun to go to all of your kids sporting events. My son is only 17mos old, but I can't wait until he is old enough to start playing sports. I will be soooo the "soccer" mom (or baseball or basketball, or whatever he decides to play) :)

Your little guy is so cute! Six pizzas eh? I do like pizza, but I'm not sure I could even fit 6 pizzas in the fridge!

Sorry to hear that you're sick. I'm sick too, just a cold but it has my asthma all in a tizzy. Sounds like you're still running like a champ though!

And good luck to your daughter!

I hate the bachelor. I think the people on it are desperate and out of touch with reality. I knew a girl (through someone) who was on it one year...she made it really far and they came to the hometown and everyone made this huge deal and I just HATED it. It is all very fake- she is TOTALLY not the same person in real life as she was on the show. Come to think of it, I pretty much hate all reality TV dating shows.

Whew- Sorry to hi-jack your comments with this tangent!

Ps- you always take great photos!

What an amazing week of running - very proud of you!
Your kiddos are adorable - good luck to Ryan!
I am fighting allergies already! It's awful! We got a week of warm weather out here and everything decided to bloom! Now it's cold and rainy (relatively speaking) and we are all fighting off spring allergies! Ugh! Hope that antibiotic kicks in soon!!
Have a great week!
P.S. If there is anything from TJ's that you just have to have, let me know and I can send it to you :)

64 miles, you rock! And all those miles fast. Wow! Amazing! I honestly think you have great genes and biomechanics! Nice work!

i have a hard time claiming a 1-2 mile day as a "workout" day too. it seems so piddly, especially when i'm supposed to be training for a marathon!

you get dressed after 23 miles? umm i'd shower and put on sweats and flop on the couch :)

I love the the little hockey guys. Might have to talk one of my girls into hockey just to see them dressed up like that.

That's a great picture of you; I love that color green!

I hope you feel better soon. Doesn't look like it slowed you down any last weekend. Great job!

And yes...the bachelor IS the stupidest show. Even though I've never seen it.

I haven't watched one single episode of The Bachelor except for the final hour on the final show and I couldn't believe I was sitting there rooting for the girl that didn't get picked. I mean, how could I possibly even know which was "better" ... but I could tell right away which he was going to pick because the show kept showing scenes how the family all liked the "other" girl so you knew it was a set up for the one that was actually picked. OMG, can you believe I just wrote a novel on that stupid subject? But no matter what, I'm going to watch The Bachelor Wedding next weekend...and I didn't even watch that show! ha.

I'm just starting to feel somewhat human again. My training has tanked, I've gained 5 lbs, and I feel like a complete failure. So don't get sick and blobish like me!

Luck to the little guy!!
