Yet another weekend report!

I thought about starting out this post with a four letter word! Opted not to, but DO know people that I am silently repeating it over and over in my mind!

Here is my weekend news:

Left on Friday at 2 o'clock with Reese and Max to head to Grand Rapids 4 hours away. Our drive there was rather uneventful until 7 miles away from our hotel I got pulled over! Yes, for now the 12th time in 3 years pulled over. Now, let me tell you, we did not have a Friday night game so I was not looking too cute in my baseball cap and no makeup. NO bargaining points here!! I was going 48 in a 40 traveling through a small town along the highway! I got yet another written warning and was on my way. I'm not quite sure if it's appropriate to bribe my kids not to tell their father about this!

Reese had to be at the rink at 7 am on Saturday so we ordered pizza and decided to be completely antisocial in our room! I ran 15 miles and drove 4 hours-I was in no mood to party!

Joe and Ryan made it to Lakeville on Friday night. To make a long story short-her team won the whole tournament and should be at the top of the state ratings this week! I was so jealous that I couldn't be there and when she called in her excitement I couldn't even hear her over all the screaming in the background!

Reese, Max, and I made it to the morning game which they won 5-1. We then had a 3 o'clock game in Cloquet which was 1 1/2 hours away. Again, to make a long story short we drove to Cloquet along with all the other families to find out the team cancelled on us the night before and had left a message on our coaches machine. Extremely frustrating and expensive. The girls were bummed out as well since they were really looking forward to the game. My best friend left her son's game in Overtime to drive 5 hours to make it to this game that didn't happen. Needless to say, we were ready to let off a little steam around the pool.

Saturday night was so fun! One of the Roseau boys teams were also staying in Grand Rapids at the same hotel and 3 of my good friends have son's on this team. Reese's best friend was also there as her brother plays. I managed to stay awake until 1 am on straight scotch and water/hold the scotch! This is cheaper and I feel much better in the morning!!

Sunday morning I went out to my car to find out it had been broken into and my GPS, portable DVD player, my BOSE headphones, car cellphone charger and who knows what else had been stolen. My friend's car was also broken into and she lost about the same as me. I called my husband and filed a police report. I considered ordering a Bloody Mary for breakfast before the game!

Reese played again at noon which ended in a tie after overtime and we headed back to Roseau with a quick stop at target to replace the GPS so I could find my way home!

I unpacked, did laundry, and organized until 9 pm when I knocked out 8 miles w/6X800's in the middle on the treadmill. I decided not to get up this morning to run because I want to go outside. I have 9 scheduled so after work I will run in town before I get home. I hate doing this but Joe is off and will handle the kids and practice.

This sounds like a negative post when actually these weekends are becoming quite comical! I don't think I've ever been happier than when I talked to Ryan after the championship. This is the reason my kids play sports!

What another ramble! I'm off to work and I will finish catching up on all your happenings today!

Honestly, I don't know how you do it. All that driving would make me nuts! Your kids are very lucky. And great job getting the runs done. Hope you get that run outside. Here it's been snowing and slushy!

YEA For Ryan's championship victory. I know that had to tear at your heart but you also got to the there for the other kiddo and I'm sure that meant the world to her. And man o man, each time you go out of town, there's a huge expense involved. At least your insurance should help pay some of this one. But what a royal pain. And what's up with mr. coachy not calling and informing parents of the cancellation!?!! Err. Have a great week running...I'm going to live vicariously through your speediness and pretend you're next to me on my treadmill run today. Which, btw, will be slow cuz the ole glutes are, yes, sore from 3-ways...but I am seeing improvement over last week's soreness. Yea!!

I do think you could write a book about your weekend events and it should have a title with the words survior, fun, juggler and runner. Oh and great mom! Put those words together, I dare you! Anyway, great job getting some running in there despite all of the driving, at least you had friends to hang out with...that makes it easier and more fun! Have a nice week!

Geesh...sounds like a rough weekend. I'm glad that I only have one kid to tote around to practices, etc!

Congrats on Ryan's championship victory though, that must have made the drive well worth it!!
