You! You! You! ARE AMAZING! Way to rock this race Jenn! You blew it out of the part. A sub 42 min 10k at the end of MARATHON training where you've been running 70 plus miles a week?!! Amazing! Just think what you are capable of if the 10k was your Peak race! Sounds like the pieces really came together this week and everything that was part of this week was part of the plan for you...not your plan but "the plan". :) Love this!
And GO Reese! You rock. She's got some good genes and I hope she uses this raw talent of hers! Good for you for encouraging her gently and making running a positive and fun experience for her now so she can Kick some major BOOtay later in life! :)
And I want to see you in a side pose! Or a messy hair pose...or crazy wild dancing pose...ha ha. You're beautiful!!
Yippie! This is awesome! What an accomplishment at this stage in your crazy training schedule. And what makes this even more special is your beautiful girl GLOWING with that medal, that is too stinking cute. Can't wait until your marathon, you're on fire lady!
Scuh-REEE-min' fast, woman!!! Way to bust it on that 10K! You are going to CRUSH your marathon :) And look at your gorgeous girl…with a medal around her neck, of course ;-) Like mama, like daughter…pretty and quick :) Congrats to you both!
Congrats again! So proud of you got gutting this out in the middle of marathon training. Perfect! Love the pics. Reese looks like such a runners, and so happy in all the pics. You look your classy self, elegant and beautiful! And happy!
I think I never responded to the marathon email. Yes, I completely agree with being cautious the first half of the race, and then bringing it home in the second half. It's the smart strategy. I think in half marathons or shorter races one can take more risks early on, but not in the marathon! I am confident you are going to go sub 3 soon, I say sub 3:10 in the fall, sub 3:05 at Boston, sub 3:00 your next marathon! There, I said it;)
Your newest post is readable but I can't comment on it. I only want to say go and fight for you child. That is ridiculous and I would be upset at many things particularly if she was reprimanded in front of other students. That is completely uncalled for. Do you have a teacher you know well there that could help you know the process and what to expect? I also rarely stepped in - only twice. I am sad to say that nothing changed but it had to be done. If I told you the story you would be appalled. I am a teacher but teachers can be wrong and do things that are not okay. Advocate for her as much as you can!
