Pumpkin and GOOD LUCK shout outs!

Pumpkin-all I can think about is pumpkin. All the food bloggers on here keep posting these incredible pictures of all this healthy pumpkin food. –TO DIE FOR. I went to the grocery store to buy pumpkin and what are they sampling but Pumpkin Donuts-I did not see these on any healthy food bloggers pages…lol!! I resisted but made pumpkin overnight oats for breakfast this morning. SOOO Good. My kids thought I was trying to poison them. They are not fans of cold oatmeal apparently!

So, I have decided that I will for sure not start an official training plan until mid December for Boston. I will continue to run in the meantime and work on my core strength. It seems that I can run well, I can eat well, I can cross train well, and I can strength train well but not all at the same time. I really threw my cross training out the window during my marathon training cycle and managed a 15 minute per day core workout. I played tag on the ice at open skating last night with about 20 kids. I tell you, my quads are so sore today. This is a killer workout and I think I will skate at least 2 nights a week since my kids love it when I do. I also plan on heading back to the gym 3 days a week to work on my strength before I officially start this training cycle. It is supposed to be 56 and sunny up here in the North Country this weekend. I am running a 20 because warm weather excites me and I love to run in it. I actually can’t wait to get out there!!!!

I am currently compiling a list of goals for my 2010 racing season. I like to be realistic but ambitious at the same time which can be difficult. If I list a goal-it won’t be just a pipedream. I fully intend to achieve it and believe that I can but it will be enough of a stretch to require a lot of hard work on my part. I will probably post these tomorrow since I have almost finalized my calendar of major races.

I truly appreciate all the support I’ve received from many of you. I know I’ll miss somebody but here goes:

Jill (www.runwithjill.blogspot.com) is going to rock the Heart Center of the Rockies Half tomorrow!

Katie (www.one-run-at-a-time.blogspot.com) is going for a BQ at the Two cities marathon (she’ll get it)!

Heather (www.runfastermommy.com) is running the marathon leg in the Beach 2 Battleship Triathalon (2nd 26.2 in 4 weeks-You go girl!)

Jamie (www.runningdivamom.blogspot.com) is doing the Tyranena Beer run half (I love races with free beer-I also predict a PR for her).

Carlee (www.chasingfg.blogspot.com) is running the MADD dash 5-miler(I’m banking her speed magically returns after marathon recovery in this race)

Robin (www.westfordmommy.blogspot.com) who has run 2 full marathons in the last month is now taking on the Maine Coast Half!! Hopefully her sore calves hold out-Ibuprofen is your friend!!!

Steph (www.50marathonchallenge.blogspot.com) is running the Outer Banks marathon! This girl has an unbelievable race schedule!!! She's superhuman!
