Weekend news

Hello hello! Hope everyone had a great weekend! I did, of course because I have the 3 most awesome kids ever and watching them in FREEZING cold ice rinks all weekend is totally the funnest thing in the world to me!!!!! It was 20 below today. Lovely....

Lucky #9. Yes, hockey pants are super flattering! I'm quite certain when my girls are 25 they are going to ask why we let them play a sport that made them wear these things and then showed pictures of them to everyone!! Anyway, Ryan's team won both their games. They are currently at the top of the district. Fun to watch! Reese's team lost their first game of the season which resulted in buckets of tears but they bounced back to do very well in their tournament. Little Max kicked butt in his game today (in the coldest rink I have EVER been in). Unfortunately, his team lost 8-7 but he had 4 goals and 2 assists!! Honestly, I could care less if my kids ever score a goal but all 3 of them are the HARDEST workers and I LOVE it!!!

Max is in the white jersey!

Anyway, as much as I would love to catch up here and give a full weekend update I'm going to really simplify! I finished the week with 50 miles running. I was pleased with that as it was a REALLY busy week. This next week I am going to cut back and run only about 20-25 miles and enjoy my little down time doing Christmas things with my kids. My official training plan will start December 20th and then I'll have to kick it in gear! Here's a few pics of them helping (aka making a disastrous mess) in the kitchen!!

Reese's hair is wet, not greasy and yes, I know it looks like we don't feed her but the poor thing just cannot seem to keep weight on when she really gets into the hockey season. I really feel her pain because I have the same problem.....BwaHaHa..not so much......

I may or may not have licked that bowl!!

Sugar crash!! I LOVE this boy!!! I will desperately try to get caught up here! Later!!!!

Your kids are such super jocks!
Twenty below- sounds horrible and undesirable in every way. Makes me feel happy that it was 15 above here most days this week (which was pretty disgusting, not gonna lie.)
If I ever manage to do 25 miles in one week I will have reached the pinnacle of my running ability. You put me to shame woman, you make me look bad!

Great photos..The kids are very cute and charming..

I think you do have the same problem as Reese:) Your kids really are adorable! 50 miles in a busy week? You are superwoman. Good call on slowing down to enjoy this week with your kids:) I love watching hockey games (as long as there is hot chocolate involved). Are you going to post your training plan? Did you already? Don't freeze in the 20 below weather ahhh!!

Max brings cuteness to the max! Adorable!
Your weather is crazy. Still no snow here, and today I ran in shorts. Crazy warm!
50 miles for the week! Nice! I'd be curious, too, to hear about your training plan:)

Tell Ryan to keep her stick on the ice! Also, the important question is did you lick the bowl before or after you made the cookies.

Beautiful kids!!! I think you have a great plan to cut mileage for Christmas things-- I may try and do the same thing...but what?!

I guess I don't even know what the heck I am going to do for training!? What are you doing for yours? Ahhhh! I might end up making my own plan just because I will have no more time to read or decide.

So was it warmer inside the rink or outside....

Your kids are all super stud jocks:) Just like mom and dad! I love watching my kid's sporting events too. As much as I complain about running all over God's green earth...I still love it!
